240-hour transit visa-free
How agents use the 240-hour transit window for city add-ons and multi-stop routings — eligible ports, permitted areas, and planning checks.

Planning checks
- Ten days, not six — the 72 / 144-hour schemes were replaced in December 2024
- 55 nationalities eligible, through 65 designated ports in 24 provinces
- Onward ticket to a third country or region, with confirmed date and seat
- Travel stays inside the permitted area for the port you entered through
Agent tips
- · Put port pair + nationality mix in the first RFQ line.
- · Do not assume the same rules for all SEA passports — several qualify for mutual exemption instead, which is simpler. See “Three ways in”.
- · Build a backup full-visa itinerary for mixed groups.
